Eileen Brassil, CPA, CFE, is a Partner in the Westchester, IL office of Legacy Professionals LLP. She also serves on the Firm’s Management Committee. Eileen specializes in working with Taft-Hartley multiemployer benefit plans and labor organizations. She reviews many jobs for the Firm’s three offices.
Eileen serves as chair of the Firm’s Audit and Accounting (A&A) Services Committee, which is responsible for keeping up on current developments in accounting principles and auditing standards and for developing policies and procedures for the Firm.
Eileen was appointed by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans‘ (IFEBP) Board of Directors to serve on its Professionals Committee. The Professionals Committee consists of accountants, actuarial consultants and attorneys representing the industries and crafts of the Foundation’s professional members, evaluating new developments in their respective areas of expertise as they apply to employee benefit plans. Eileen is also a frequent speaker at IFEBP Conferences.
Eileen served on the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Expert Panel. The Panel monitors employee benefit plan industry developments, trends and opportunities to identify and advise on reporting, attest, and assurance issues unique to employee benefit plans. Prior to serving on the Expert Panel, Eileen served on the Executive Committee of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Quality Center, of which Legacy is a member. The Center is the national organization for accounting firms that audit ERISA employee benefit plans.
Eileen is a frequent educational speaker and moderator at benefit plan conferences. Eileen also provides education at in-house training sessions and client seminars.
Professional Affiliations
Eileen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Illinois CPA Society, where she is a past member of the Society’s Employee Benefit Plans Member Forum. She is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans’ Professionals Committee. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She is the chairperson of the the Board of the Donna A. Hubert Memorial Scholarship Fund.
