On March 29, 2021, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) announced that it will publish notice of an intended rulemaking to propose rescission of the Form T-1 Trust Annual Report. The OLMS additionally noted that they will not seek to enforce the filing of a Form T-1 for one year from the date a labor organization’s first Form T-1 is due. On May 27, 2021, the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) was published to the Federal Register to rescind the Form T-1 Final Rule. The OLMS will consider all written comments submitted on or before July 26, 2021.
