DAH Scholarship 2023 Recipients
The Donna A. Hubert Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2020. The Scholarship is an annual renewable $1,500 scholarship for women interested in pursuing a career in accounting. Qualified applicants are undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university, residing in either Illinois, Indiana, or Minnesota, pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Accounting must be declared as the recipient's major.
The goal of the Scholarship is to honor Donna's contributions to the Firm and the accounting industry. Education is the gift that lasts a lifetime, and through the Donna A. Hubert Memorial Scholarship Fund, we hope that Donna's legacy will continue to resonate for future generations of students.
We are pleased to announce the 2023 recipients of the Donna A. Hubert Memorial Scholarship are Majestee Niana Gil and Diya Adhikari.
Majestee is an Accounting Major at Purdue University Northwest. She is scheduled to graduate in May, 2025. In her scholarship application, she said, “I endeavor to continue being a woman excellence and tenacity as I transition into my accounting career. As women, we work hard, we are worthy, capable, & powerful. We need to be trailblazers like Donna, providing a model of success and encouraging on our fellow female accountants. Donna’s legacy continues through the lives of young ladies like me, her scholarship will provide monetary support, and positive affirmation -- to be awarded the scholarship is special, I would be honored to be chosen.”
Diya is an Accounting Major at Augustana College and is scheduled to graduate in May, 2026. In her application, Diya shared, "Like Donna, I am determined to be a trailblazer and advocate for gender equality in the accounting profession. I am actively involved in organizations that support and promote women in business, where I strive to inspire and mentor other aspiring accountants. I believe that fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace leads to innovation and better decision-making, and I am committed to breaking down barriers and empowering other women to pursue careers in accounting."
