Tim Lakis, CPA, CFE, is the Partner in charge of the Schererville office of Legacy Professionals LLP.  He provides audit and accounting services to numerous employee benefit funds and labor organizations.  He also works with a number of nonprofit and for-profit entities.  Tim supervises client engagement teams and works directly with the clients to ensure a smooth and thorough audit.

Tim provides in-house training for staff accountants, senior accountants, and supervising seniors as a part of the Firm's continuing education program.  He also attends various conferences and educational events, such as the recent IGAF Polaris North America Regional Meeting, in order to keep the Firm up-to-date on all rules, regulations, and laws that affect the Firm's clients.

 

Tim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, and the Illinois CPA Society.  He is also a member of Pirates, Inc., a non-profit organization that raises money for underprivileged children in Northwest Indiana.

Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1994 from Indiana University.  He has been practicing public accounting since 1995.

 

Tim enjoys spending time with his family and watching and participating in sports.  He is the shortstop for the Legacy championship softball team.
