Paul M. Doetsch

Paul Doetsch, CPA, CMA, is a Partner in the Chicago office of Legacy Professionals LLP. He specializes in accounting, auditing, financial and strategic management services for not-for-profit organizations, including associations, charitable organizations, schools, government units, Yellow Book A-133, and other nonprofit entities.  

Paul serves on the Firm's Accounting and Auditing (A&A) Committee.  The Committee is responsible for keeping up on current developments in the areas of accounting principles and auditing standards and for developing policies and procedures for the Firm in that respect.   
 
He also provides operational analysis that has enhanced client management operations.  Additionally, Paul has conducted investigations on behalf of organizations that were victimized by fraud.  His work with such engagements assisted in the recovery of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
 
In addition to providing audit and financial management services, Paul is a frequent speaker and author on not-for-profit management and accounting issues.  His recent speaking engagement have included such topics as "Financial Literacy for Association Boards" and "Consideration of Fraud in a Financial Statement Audit."
 
Paul completed the course work and earned the Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) designation issued by the Institute of Management Accountants.  Furthermore, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Association Forum of Chicagoland.
 
Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1989 from Rosary College (now known as Dominican University), where he graduated Magna Cum Laude
