Legacy Staff Events

In addition to working hard, our people have a great time together both during and
outside of work!

The Legacy Softball Team finished the regular season undefeated for the third time in four years!  They won their eight regular season games 10-2, 10-0, 8-7, 10-5, 13-12, 6-4, 10-3, and 16-1, respectively.  Unfortunately, the season ended for the team on August 11, losing 7-5 to KPMG in the playoffs.  Great job on another terrific season!   

The Legacy Softball Team held three consecutive titles in the Chicago Accountant's League, winning the 2005, 2006, and 2007 championships.  For more information on last year's championship, see our press release.

Annual After Tax Season Event

At our Annual After Tax Season Party, we honor many of our employees with both serious and humerous awards.  The recipient of the 2008 Thomas W. Havey Team Spirit Award was Doug Schwegman.  This award is given in Tom Havey's honor to the person or persons who most embodies teamwork and dedication to the Firm.  Congratulations to Doug for his exceptional team spirit and dedication to Legacy.  The Legacy Rookie of the Year, Best Facial Hair, Most Likely to Become a Farmer, Most Likely to Jam a Copy Machine or Shredder and Walk Away, Most Likely to Make You Laugh, and other awards were also given out at the event.

Team Legacy has participated in several of Chicago's Chase Corporate Challenges. This year's event was held on Thursday, May 22, 2008. 

We also host an annual golf outing for the Firm, which takes place on a Friday afternoon in the summer.  This year's outing was held on July 25, 2008 at Chicago Heights Park District Course.  The event was a huge success and the golf was capped off by a great dinner, awards ceremony, and a competitive bean bag tournament. 

Legacy White Sox Family Outing

Over 150 of Legacy employee family and friends attended the June 10, 2007 White Sox game.  Our group witnessed Mark Buehrle winning his 100th game as the Sox dominated the Houston Astros in one of the few highlights of last season.  The outing included a group dinner and all of us sitting together in the outfield!

 

Legacy Saint Paul Saints Outing

The staff of the Minnesota office attended an August 25, 2006 double-header, where the St. Paul Saints minor league team took on the Sioux Falls Canaries.  The Saints came out ahead in both games and the gang had a great time tailgating and cheering on the home team!  More information will follow on other Minnesota office staff events.
