Eileen E. Brassil Eileen Brassil, CPA, is a Partner in the Chicago office of Legacy Professionals LLP. Eileen provides services to employee benefit plans, labor organizations, and not-for-profit organizations. She supervises and teaches the Legacy staff, and she also reviews many jobs for the three Firm offices.
Eileen serves as the chair of the Firm's Accounting and Auditing (A&A) Committee, which is responsible for keeping up on current developments in the areas of accounting principles and auditing standards and for developing policies and procedures for the Firm in that respect.
Additionally, Eileen is a frequent educational speaker and moderator at benefit plan conferences, in-house training sessions, and client seminars. She has also authored many articles for the Legacy Advisor and serves as an editor for these publications. She recently wrote an article on the topic of Fair Value Disclosures which will be published in Benefits and Compensation Digest, the monthly publication of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Eileen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Illinois CPA Society where she is a member of the Society's Employee Benefit Plans Member Forum.
Eileen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1988 from DePaul University. She received her CPA in 1989 and has been practicing public accounting since then.
