Topics included: dealing with new regulatory issues affecting tax, compliance, accounting and auditing, and governance; financial management and leadership strategies; and collaboration and fundraising ideas.
The industry's top experts and thought leaders participate in the conference to offer their perspectives on critical issues facing nonprofits. Such issues and information is imperative for nonprofit service providers to understand and utilize as it relates to nonprofit clients.

The Illinois CPA Society's (ICPAS) Not-for-Profit Committee sponsors a series of Roundtables to provide opportunities for financial professionals who are involved with nonprofit organizations "both on the public accounting and organization side" to network, learn, and share information. Partner Rose Doherty, who is a board member of the ICPAS, facilitated the ICPAS Nonprofit Roundtable on May 9, 2013. Rose also spoke on audit and banking controls.
